On Wednesday morning Oct. 6 at approximately 10:50 a.m., Linn County deputies, Springville Fire and Anamosa ambulance responded to a single vehicle accident in the 300 block of County Home Road.
On arrival, deputies discovered that a blue 2002 Chevy Tahoe operated by Heather Sproston of Wyoming had attempted to pass a dump truck operated by Cassian Clark of Lisbon which was following a garbage truck operated by David Stone of Conrad. As she was doing so, she lost control and began to go into the north ditch. She then over corrected and rolled the vehicle across the roadway coming to rest in a cornfield on the south side of the road.
Sproston was transported by Anamosa Ambulance to an area hospital to be treated for what are believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. She was cited for unsafe passing.
No other persons or vehicles were involved in the crash.
