Like many, my New Year’s resolution usually involves some sort of personal improvement. Lose some weight, limit the sweets, get more exercise and so on. But this year, I would like to encourage you to join me to get more involved in local issues that matter most to you and attend the Iowa Caucus on Feb 7th. The Iowa Caucus starts the 2022 midterm election cycle moving, culminating with the election of local, state and national offices in November. Since this is not a presidential election year, the majority of time spent during the Caucus will involve Party reorganization, the election of delegates to the next level (County Convention) and the discussion of issues most important to the voters of Jones County.

The Jones County Democrats will meet Monday evening, Feb. 7, with all Precincts meeting at one location, the Youth Development Center (next to the Berndes Center) in Monticello. Doors open at 6pm, with the Caucus starting at 7 p.m. Come early to get registered! Also, let us know you are coming. To sign up, just go to our website — https://www.jonescountydemocrats.com. If you have any questions about the Caucus, send us an email and we will be happy to help — jonescounty.ia.dems@gmail.com.
