Around 250 people came to the Coggon Fire Department to get see Santa and Mrs. Claus. The department worked hard furnishing a gingerbread house backdrop for photos, and children were able to get a goodie bag from firefighters.
Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus gets a special escort around Coggon in one of the town’s firetrucks Dec. 17. Lights and sirens could be seen and heard, alerting the residents that Santa had arrived in Coggon.
Deputy Chief Jason Hartman shows Griffin Cross, 19 months, of Troy Mills, the levers on a fire truck. Griffin watched Hartman pull the levers back and forth and decided he should try too.
Many customers take part in the Second Annual Holiday Craft and Vendor Show in Coggon Dec. 10. Vendors were spread throughout the Coggon Center with various merchandise.
Faith Mission Thrift Store, located in the Coggon Center, was open. Shoppers are able to go through multiple rooms with much thrifty merchandise, including Christmas decor, clothes, books, games and more Dec. 10.
During the Vendor Show, Santa Claus makes a guest appearance. Many children had their photos taken and were able to tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.
