Wellness is a top priority for Ability Physical Therapy and Elite Fitness. Ability is celebrating its 14th Anniversary in the Mount Vernon-Lisbon area this year and was opened by Michael Reiling PT, MS, ATC, CSCS who continues to work full time in the clinic. Ability Physical Therapy focuses on outpatient rehabilitation, customer service, community outreach, and offers individualized services for a variety of conditions, including: vertigo/dizziness, post-surgical therapy, imbalance, general weakness, neurological problems, chronic pain and athletic injuries.
A new service offered this year is Functional Dry Needling performed by Austin Kramer, PT, DPT. Women’s health is a continued specialized service offered by Becca Fetter, PT, DPT. Ability also provides athletic training for local schools and is now providing strength and conditioning services for schools to support young athletes.
Wellness offerings include massage therapy by Becky Hall, LMT, and free athletic injury assessments. Additional physical therapy staff include physical therapy assistants Taylor Connor, B.A., PTA and Traci Smith, B.A., ACE CPT, PTA. Ability offers same day appointments with expanded hours 6:30-6pm and Saturdays by appointment.
A companion business to Ability is Elite Fitness, located just off Business 30 in Lisbon. Elite Fitness is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Elite Fitness is managed by Karin Thomas with Thomas Keating, B.A., ACSM-CPT as the lead personal trainer and Bailey Sams, LAT, ATC, Nolan Reiling, and Laura Halladay as fitness support staff. Traci Smith and Taylor Connor, mentioned previous as physical therapy assistants, also spend time at Elite Fitness as personal trainers. Clients find it convenient to have fitness centers and physical therapy clinics with such close ties to one another.
