When making gifts for others, thinking about the winter holidays in November is really a must. Making a gift takes much longer than buying one. Starting early reduces the stress and allows for a mistake or two to happen without tears. Since many patrons are limiting their indoor shopping, I have purchased several new craft books that show how to make smaller gifts using materials you may already have at home. If you get stuck with the directions, remember that YouTube has many crafting tutorials available. Cole Librarys new crafting titles are: Buttermilk Basins Ornament Extravaganza: 45 Easy to Stitch Designs; Making Christmas Bright with Papercrafts; Holiday Hand Lettering: 30 Festive Projects to Celebrate Christmas; Stitches from the Yuletide: Hand Embroidery to Celebrate the Season; and Christmas in the Country: Holiday Quilts with Farmhouse Flair. These library books may be picked up curbside at Cole Library. Reserve them at https://colelibrary.org/home/curbside-pickup/.
