A pair of losses put the Clear Creek Amana (CCA) varsity boys at 9-4 overall and 8-3 in the WaMaC West last week.

After falling 73-59 to West rival Williamsburg, the Clippers fell 63-61 at home to Independence (Indee) Friday, Jan. 21 at home, and fell 63-40 to Burlington in a non-conference game Saturday, Jan. 22 at Burlington.

Indee took the first period 14-8, led 29-25 at halftime, and held a 47-44 advantage going into the final period.

Kyle Schrepfer led CCA with 22 points including six three-point baskets, Ben Swails produced 19 points and six steals, Harrison Rosenberg had a six-point night as did Grant Kruse. Gage Freeman led the Boats on the boards with nine rebounds.

The Creek Boys held a 10-7 lead at the end of the first period against Burlington but slipped to a 26-21 halftime deficit and trailed 40-28 going into the final quarter.

Schrepfer led with a dozen points, Rosenberg had eight, and Kruse and Swails produced seven apiece. Schrepfer, Kruse, and Swails made four rebounds each, and Kruse had three assists as well.
